Design

Design of a budget phone is not always behind the times. Unlike others, REVVL gives a pleasing to the eye. The compact design and slim profile fits your pocket perfectly. It’s only 5.98 x 3.03 x 0.33 inches and 5.57 ounces. Not way too big, but still comfortable for one-handed operation. Front-facing stereo speaker, selfie camera, and high definition screen lay down on the front. While a surprising thing is a fingerprint sensor on the back. But, the only drawback of the design is the glossy back cover that generates smudges of fingerprint trace.

Display

5.5″ HD IPS LCD with 1280×720 resolution doesn’t make your eyes tired watching YouTube for hours. The detail is very ordinary but totally good in term of body-to-screen ratio. The spaciousness of the screen is able to display more content, especially when browsing the internet pages. Pretty feasible for REVVL to have such a worthy display in the budget range.

Software

T-Mobile REVVL is an Android Nougat phones that keep everything original. The user interface uses Android stock, much like a Pixels. Due to the imminent launching of Android O, rumor says this phone will be stuck on Nougat 7.0 and not count in the list of the phone getting Nougat 7.1 update. Don’t expect to experience Android O on this phone. You know, T-Mobile is a carrier in which the business core is not producing the phone, much less providing an update regularly.

Camera

This phone comes with 13 MP rear and 5 MP front-facing camera. The higher pixels, the better quality is not always proven correct. REVVL doesn’t give a guarantee to provide an outstanding picture. The photo result is mediocre like other budget phones. Limited feature and camera UI are very unhelpful while capturing the things. Some of the features you’ll find on the rear are flash, HDR, HD video record, and standard image stabilization and on the front are flash and face beauty.

Performance

Under the hood, REVVL is supported by MediaTek MT6738 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage. The quad-core CPU and GPU Mali-T860MP2 provide no hiccup at all, particularly when playing high-quality graphics games. The 2GB of RAM is also sufficient to handle multitasking. Everything’s run smoothly on this phone. Plus with large internal memory (32 GB) allows you to save more files.

Connectivity

Thanks to T-Mobile for providing full connectivity on a budget range. No more slow internet due to the current availability of 4G LTE working on 66, 2, 4, 5, and 12 band. Other connectivities on REVVL are Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and also GPS. A good rewarding to keep you connect with people through the internet and wireless devices.

Battery

As classified in a low class smartphone, you need not expect way too much about the battery. The Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery leads T-Mobile REVVL to have standard battery life. The battery stands by last to 288 hours and talk-time last to 12 hours. No special feature for the battery and it doesn’t have fast charging as well. But, still good enough for daily use.

Wrap-up

When talking about the android phone, you will mention Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony, HTC, and Asus are the very famous brand. However, T-Mobile is trying to join the race in providing the best smartphone. This time maybe playing in the budget range, who’s know what’s next from T-Mobile? But according to the specs and price, T-Mobile REVVL is a worth to buy!
