Design

Wiko Ride 3 Design

The Wiko Ride 3 smartphone has an average-looking design. It features a large screen and is surrounded by slim bezels. At its dimensions, 159 x 74 x 8.6mm for height, width, and thickness. It is also not so heavy; it only weighs 169g.

The front area is pretty basic. It only consists of a large screen with a front-facing camera into the small teardrop notch. Like most current smartphones, the Wiko Ride 3 doesn’t have a physical home button.

At the back, we can find the phone’s dual rear camera and LED flash. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a fingerprint reader. It is a disadvantage since that feature can make the device more secure.

Display

Wiko Ride 3 Display

The 6.1-inch display screen on the Wiko Ride 3 is big enough for an entry-level smartphone. This smartphone offers enjoyment for users with its full-screen design.

It is supported with HD+ display quality and 1560 x 720 pixels in resolutions. The content on the phone appeared sharp with more vibrant color tones. We are really satisfied with these specs.

To be added, the Wiko Ride 3 display screen is provided by an adaptive brightness feature. This feature will automatically make the phone adapt its screen brightness by the lighting conditions. It is very convenient when using the phone outdoors.

Camera

The Wiko Ride 3 provides consumers with its dual rear camera configuration. We spotted the 13MP main camera and 2MP for the secondary camera. It also comes with an LED flash to help users get a better picture in dark conditions.

The front camera is equipped with a 5MP. The resolution is perfect for selfie-goers. Plus points, the Wiko Ride 3 front camera also has beauty filters to enhance your selfie shot experiences.

Video recording on this phone is possible for both the back and front camera. It can record videos at 1080p. We expect the results to be a little bit shaky since it doesn’t have any image stabilization feature on the camera.

Storage

We expect 32GB built-in storage on this Wiko Ride 3. The capacity is a bare minimum for most entry-level smartphones. But, as we know, we will only be able to access half of that capacity. That is pretty common since the phone comes with preloaded apps.

If you need more space, users can rely on another option. This phone allows you to expand the storage. All you need is to install a Micro SD card into the external slot, increasing the storage space. With this, you can install more apps or take pictures and videos as much as you want.

Performance

The Wiko Ride 3 smartphone is powered by a 2.0GHz Octa-Core Mediatek Helio P22 processor. This processor provides more efficiency with its operation process. By this, you can get easy with the phone’s tasks such as wandering on your social media, browsing the internet, or any other everyday activities. It offers decent, faster, and reliable performance.

The processor runs alongside the 3GB RAM. It means the phone can experience a multitasking job. It is very comfortable for users to open big or several apps at once.

The Wiko Ride 3 is accommodated with Android 11 as its operating system. Android 11 is known for its better privacy management control than previous systems. It lets users choose whether they want to share our info in certain apps or not. The Android 11 notification’s management allows us to decide which app notifications we’d like to see. This feature is one level beyond the oldest ones.

The Wiko Ride 3 has four basic sensors. The phone’s accelerometer can detect every phone’s movement. The proximity sensors can prevent keypad presses and battery consumption during a call. Besides that, there are also ambient light sensors and compass sensors on this phone.

This smartphone also has a water-resistant feature with an IPX2 rating. It means the device is protected from spraying water when vertically tilted up to 15 degrees.

The Wiko Ride 3 makes sure the phone can be very accessible for a wide range of users. So, it is packed with various accessibility features such as Google Assistant and Hearing Aid compatibility.

It is such a disappointment that this phone doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. In our opinion, it is very bad considering this feature can add more security to the phone. It’s quite a drawback.

Connectivity

The Wiko Ride 3 is 3G and 4G LTE capable. Although for a faster connection, we suggest you use 4G LTE. You need to install a Nano SIM card on the device to activate it. This 4G LTE is reliable since you can find the connection in most areas. We didn’t find any issues with calls. Most calls come smoothly without any distractions.

Besides using a data connection, you can also have an option to use a Wi-Fi connection for surfing the internet. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth, USB Type-C, mobile hotspot, and radio FM.

We can use Bluetooth connections for transfers and connecting with external devices wirelessly. However, the connector USB Type-C is also available for wire transfers.

Battery

Powered by a 3,400mAh battery capacity, the Wiko Ride 3 provides a long-lasting battery cycle. It promises to have a talk time of up to 16 hours. This smartphone can have up to 576 hours or 24 days in standby mode. A non-removable battery type is equipped for this phone. This battery type is durable enough.

A USB Type-C port is located at the bottom of the phone to let users charge the device. Thanks to this, this phone already supports fast charging. However, it doesn’t come with wireless charging. Considering the price, it is a fair point for us.

Is the Wiko Ride 3 a good phone?

In this Wiko Ride 3 review, we learn that the Wiko Ride 3 is good for everyday use. It suits certain users, beginners, or people who don’t have heavy-duty activities. Especially if you are also looking for a budget-friendly smartphone.

By paying only $35, you can get a smartphone with a decent dual-camera feature, a big display screen, and the Android 11 OS for reliable performance.

The only disappointment with this device is no fingerprint sensors available. The design also looks basic and average. There is nothing fancy about it.

However, for its price, we still recommend it. In Walmart, you can even get this smartphone at a much lower price. It costs $17, or only half of the actual price.
